Matthew McConaughey has called on Texas to come together and "help each other" after the area was ravaged by storms.

The 51-year-old actor's home state was hit by severe weather last month and though residents weren't "prepared" for the climate disaster - which left over 70 dead and saw millions of homes and businesses left without water or power - he knows they'll support one another in getting their lives back on track.
He told People magazine: "In Texas, we're used to a hurricane, a tornado, a drought, heat, but not a freeze. It's something we weren't prepared for...
"One of the great things about Texas is that it's in our spirit to pull our bootstraps up and go, 'Let's deal.' We like to help ourselves. And we need to all help each other."
The 'Dallas Buyers Club' star, his wife Camila and their j.k. livin foundation will stage a star-studded virtual benefit on 21 March to provide direct relief to families and communities still coming to terms with the aftermath of the storms.
And Matthew reassured those who want to support the event - which will air on his YouTube channel and Spectrum News 1 in Texas and feature the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Kacey Musgraves and Renee Zellweger - that their money will go to those who are keen to "help themselves" but are currently unable to and will hopefully combat the effects of the water damage.
He said: "I want to make sure that everyone who will hopefully give knows that you're giving to people who want to help themselves, but are unable to right now.
"And we're trying to keep this a vital issue so that everyone understands. There are immediate needs.
"The main long term damage now is water damage. And that's an invisible killer. You don't see it from the street, but once you go in the front door you see, 'Oh there's no clean water, this is unlivable. That's why we're doing the benefit. It's incredibly relevant."
