Matt Healy of The 1975 has spoken out about rumours he's dating Taylor Swift.
Admitting the two "exchanged numbers", he has denied that they've ever done anything more than speak "occasionally".
Speaking on 2DayFM to Angus O'Loughlin and Ash London from Shazam, Matt said: "It's fake. It's all bloody fake. It's a farce!
"Yeah, we met each other, we exchanged numbers in the same way that a lot of people in this kind of world do and we spoke occasionally.
"And she's the biggest pop star in the world and I'm in Australia. There's no like, relationship or anything happening. It's just funny how people really, really buy into that."
The two were first linked in November when the British musician wore one of Taylor's album t-shirts on stage, and she later returned the favour by sporting a 1975 tour top.
Afterwards, Taylor posted a video of her with friend Selena Gomez at one of Matt's gigs and captioned the clip with a flirty line from the group's song 'The City'.
It read: "Yeah you wanna find love? Then you know where the city is."
