Mark Ruffalo made an appeal on Twitter after losing his phone.
The 'Spotlight' actor reached out to fans on social media after misplacing some important possessions while out in the snowstorm in New York City.
He tweeted: "APB out for a cell phone in a wallet case out on the streets of NYC in a blizzard. My drivers license is in there. Reward and signed pic.(sic)"
Fans rushed to respond and offer help and advice to the actor.
He later wrote: "Wow, thanks for all the tips and help for my lost phone... really appreciated."
Astonishingly, less than an hour after making his appeal, the 48-year-old actor was reunited with his lost belongings.
He wrote: "OMG It was just found! That was freaking fast. Thanks for helping me find it!!"
He then shared a picture of himself with two young girls, seemingly part of the family who had found his missing items.
He wrote alongside the picture: "Thank Amenaide and Catherine Brown for finding my Phone and wallet! Thanks Brown family for your decency."
Mark isn't the only star to use Twitter to appeal for lost belongings.
Channing Tatum recently asked fans for help after leaving his bag in a cab.
He wrote: "Dropped off at 42nd street in New York City and left my bag in the cab!
"Seriously, left my black backpack in a cab near NYC's 42nd street. If you find it, email me at [email protected]. Thanks! (sic)"
And the 'Magic Mike XXL' star was elated when he was reunited with the missing item.
He later posted: "To everyone who tried to help and to the good New York Samaritan who found my bag and asked for nothing in return, thank you. Thank you all! (sic)"
