Mariah Carey's brother has branded her a "monster".
The 'Hero' hitmaker has been accused of only caring about herself by older sibling Morgan Carey, 51, who called on her to do more to help their sister Alison, who was arrested for prostitution last week.
He told 'Inside Edition': "Mariah doesn't care about anyone other than herself and it's always been that way.
"I would hope Mariah could find it in her heart to forgive Alison her transgressions and step up, create a trust, let's make sure Alison's needs are met."
A spokesperson for the 46-year-old singer insisted she had done a lot over the years to help Alison.
They said in a statement: "Through the years, Mariah has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars supporting Alison and her children."
However, Morgan claimed her actions had done more harm than good.
He said: "I will always be puzzled why Alison, a heroin addict, has always been given large sums of money from Mariah her whole life. You can't put large sums of cash into the hands of a drug addict."
Morgan and Mariah - who haven't spoken for six years - used to be very close and the music producer and model even takes the credit for her success.
He claimed: "There wouldn't be a Mariah Carey today if it hadn't been for me."
But Morgan now fears a backlash after speaking out against the star.
He said: It's about protecting this fiction she has created, this image she has created, it's about keeping the darkest secrets covered up."
Alison - who is HIV positive - has pleaded not guilty to charges of prostitution and has been released on bail.
She was detained in Saugerties, New York, last week by an undercover officer, who posed as a man paying for sex.
She was arrested after "soliciting money in exchange for sexual favours," after she allegedly advertised her services online and used lyrics from Mariah's hits to lure customers.
One advert read: "Im a pretty lady looking for guys who are looking to have some fun and get into a world of pleasure that other woman just cant provide two you.(sic)"
It also included a lyric from Mariah's 1995 hit 'Fantasy,' which read: "It's just a sweet sweet fantasy baby."
Mariah - who is engaged to billionaire James Packer and has five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with estranged husband Nick Cannon - is believed to have had no contact with Alison, 55, since 1994.
