Mariah Carey isn't worried if people think her romance with Bryan Tanaka is "too soon".
The 'We Belong Together' hitmaker documented her split from Australian billionaire James Packer in her E! reality show 'Mariah's World', with fans also seeing her growing bond with her back up dancer Bryan, and now Mariah has blasted those who think she got too close to Bryan too quickly after splitting from James.
She told Rolling Stone magazine: "I don't think we're being public in a way that my relationships have been public before. I really don't.
"To me, the best thing of this is to keep it a little more private. But I'm not going to not go places with him and enjoy our lives because everybody thinks, 'Oh, it's too soon!' kind of thing. We all saw the freakin' show. This is not a surprise."
It comes after Mariah admitted she wants to keep her new relationship private.
She said: "I'm just going to be like 'I really don't talk about my personal life.' Because that's what I used to do and it really worked for a minute, back, a while ago.
"I just don't feel comfortable talking about my personal life. Me and my boyfriend don't want to do that."
Mariah recently released a new track called 'I Don't', which was inspired by the break-up.
Of the song, she shared: "Ever since the tour wrapped I took some time just to process my feelings and I started writing a song to express what I've been going through.
"And if you're not getting the love that you need from someone that you're supposed to be in a real relationship with, then why remain in that situation?"
