Mariah Carey is "doing well" after being rushed to hospital with the flu on Tuesday evening (01.12.15).

The 45-year-old singer is on the mend and is planning to perform at Hot 97's Hot for the Holidays party, as scheduled, this weekend after spending two days hooked up to a drip.
A representative for the blonde beauty told PEOPLE magazine: "Mariah had been feeling under the weather with the flu over the past few days and was fighting it to the best of her abilities. She is doing well now and will be performing as scheduled this weekend. She thanks her lambs for the continued support and well wishes."
The 'We Belong Together' hitmaker was encouraged to seek medical advice for extreme dehydration following her performance at the Pier1 event in SoHo in New York.
Her representative added: "She had fallen ill earlier in the day, but participated in the event as much as she could."
Meanwhile, Mariah - who spent Thanksgiving with her former husband Nick Cannon and their four-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe - is planning to celebrate the festive season with her billionaire boyfriend James Packer, 48.
The couple have been dating for just six months but Mariah believes they had an instant connection when they first met.
She explained: "We first met in Aspen. A couple years ago we were at the 'Hercules' premiere. We were talking and laughing and people were getting mad at us and stuff like that. So we hit it off. I'm lucky too. He really is [great]."
