Mandy Moore is “still processing” her son’s birth.
The 36-year-old actress welcomed her son, August Harrison, with her husband Taylor Goldsmith just a few weeks ago, and has now said she still can’t believe she’s a mother to her “sweet boy”.
Writing on Instagram alongside a picture of herself holding August – who is affectionately known as Gus – when he was first born, Mandy wrote: “Still processing how Gus’s birth unfolded with utter gratitude for my body, my support team and the journey our sweet boy took to meet us. Mandy confirmed her son’s birth in late February with a sweet picture of the new arrival.
She wrote at the time: "Gus is here ... Our sweet boy, August Harrison Goldsmith. He was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents. We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined. M + T (sic)"
Meanwhile, the ‘This Is Us’ star recently said she believes the relief of finding out her beloved dog Jackson was cancer-free helped induce her labour, as her waters broke three hours after she received the good news.
She revealed: "In the flutter of all things Gus, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that this guy got a clean bill of health. His tumor was benign. Cancer-free.
"We found out three hours before I went into labor and I know what my relief was what set thing in motion. So much gratitude these days. We love you so much Jackson!!! (sic)"
Jackson's surgery came just two months after Mandy's heart was left "utterly shattered" after she lost her dog Joni.
