Mandy Moore was "very hurt" when Wilmer Valderrama publicly lied about taking her virginity.
The 34-year-old actress dated the 'NCIS' star from 2001 to 2002 and in 2006, the 38-year-old actor claimed he was the first person to have slept with the 'This Is Us' actress, which she disputed later that year.
And Mandy has now opened up again about the scandal - which saw Wilmer tell DJ Howard Stern that "sex with Mandy was good, but it wasn't like warm apple pie" - admitting she was "shocked" by her former boyfriend's "uncharacteristic" remarks.
She told the same radio presenter: "I dated him when I was 16 and 17. I love him and I still love him, and he's a very good friend and that's why I was so shocked by it because not only was it a fib, but it was so unlike him, it was so uncharacteristic.
"I met him at a photo shoot for like, some teen magazine, literally, when I was 15? 15! I was [pretty innocent!]. Again, never French kissed a boy. He was like my first real true boyfriend. [But] he did not [take my virginity].
"I was very [hurt]."
Mandy recalled how she phoned Wilmer to confront him about his comments and he insisted he never "outright said" they had slept together.
She recalled to the DJ: "[I asked] 'Where did this come from?' And I remember in the moment he tried to explain it away, that sort of he did get caught up, and like he maybe insinuated more than outright said it. And I was like, 'No, you outright said it.'
"I was like, 'Why would you ever talk about that to anybody and lie about it, first of all!? I was like oof!"
Mandy - who was previously married to Ryan Adams and is engaged to Taylor Goldsmith - is still in contact with the former 'That 70s Show' actor but they have "moved past" the incident and she still thinks he's a "good guy".
She said: "We don't talk about it now...
"I moved past it now. I mean, this was like 2005 or something? We're not that close, but we're friendly. We have some mutual friends so yeah, we'll see each other around every now and then.
"He came to my house a couple months ago, I had some friends over. I think he was [genuinely bummed about what happened] too. He's a good guy, he really is."
And Howard told his guest that Wilmer had even called to ask that his comments about his former girlfriend were not broadcast again.
He said: "I don't even know if I have the story right, but I think he called up and said 'Could you guys not air that anymore?'
"He felt real bad about it because I guess you weren't the only one who gave him a call after that interview."
Mandy laughed: "I'm sure I wasn't. I think he learned a valuable lesson that day."
