Maia Mitchell wants to meet Justin Bieber to find out if he is a "real person".
The 'Teen Beach Movie' star is fascinated with the constant excitement surrounding the 'Never Say Never' hitmaker, so much so she is hoping to bump into the 19-year-old singer at the Teen Choice Awards next month.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she joked: "I would love to meet Justin Bieber. There just seems to be so much buzz around him, it's completely bizarre. I feel like he is not even a real person!"
The 19-year-old beauty is also keen to meet up with her "idol" Meryl Street, and insists the Hollywood legend is like a "freak of nature" because she is so talented.
She added: "I'm just starting out but if I could eventually emulate Natalie Portman, I love her career, I think she's great. I love Amy Adams. I love Meryl Streep, too, she's my idol. She's my inspiration. She's a freak of nature she's so good. Nobody can argue that.
"I haven't met them. I still get pretty starstruck so I don't think I'd be to approach them. I think I'd have to meet them for the first time doing a film or something."
Maia's latest movie role sees her star as surfer girl McKenzie in Disney film 'Teen Beach Movie' - which is set in the 1960s and focus on the characters' love for their favourite musical motion picture - and she admits it was a "dream come true" shooting the project in Puerto Rico.
She explained: "It was beautiful filming in Puerto Rico, it's stunning. The crew was awesome. We were shooting on the beach all day every day, it was a dream come true.
"We were in hair and make-up and 1960s get-up, it was like playing dress-up with professionals."
'Teen Beach Movie' premieres on Disney Channel at 6pm on Friday July 19. The soundtrack is out now and the DVD is released on August 19.
