Macklemore has become a father for the second time.
The 'Marmalade' rapper - who already has two-year-old daughter Sloane with his wife Tricia - made the surprise announcement that his partner gave birth to their new baby girl last month.
Asked during a radio interview about how he spend St. Patrick's Day (17.03.18), the star - whose real name is Ben Haggerty - dropped the shock news that the happy couple had welcomed a new addition to their family.
Speaking to Irish radio station Spin 1038 ahead of his two Dublin concerts over the weekend, he said: "To be honest, I haven't said this publicly, cue the airhorn. I spent it in the hospital with my brand new daughter, who was born right before St Patrick's Day."
The couple - who married in 2015 after nine years together - confirmed they were expected their second child in a unique Instagram video back in September last year, in which he said they would find out the sex of their child on camera by cutting open a gender reveal cake.
Typically, gender reveal cakes contain blue frosting inside if the baby is a boy, and pink for a girl, however Macklemore played a prank on his fans when he instead pulled out a piece of paper which announced he would be adding an additional date to his tour in his native Seattle.
He said: "I woke up today, and I had an idea. You guys have been such a huge part of our lives, that I wanted to let you in on a little secret. Tricia is pregnant, and today we're going to find out the gender of our child. We're having a second night at Key Arena! Oh my god! Key Arena night two, tickets on sale tomorrow!"
The video then shows information about the extra show date, before Macklemore confirmed that Tricia was in fact pregnant.
He added: "Tricia really is pregnant though."
