Machine Gun Kelly searched Megan Fox's house with a weapon to find an intruder - but realised he needed to call a "ghostbuster" instead.

The 31-year-old rapper told how his girlfriend has been plagued by doors opening on their own since moving to her new abode, and she once locked herself in her bedroom because she was convinced someone had got into the property, but when her partner came over, there was no one to be found.

He said: "I’ll be in bed with her and the door would just like [open] but no one is there. And wind doesn’t go through eight hallways to make it to the master bedroom hallway to flip it open.

"That’s when I started going, ‘This is disturbing’, minus the part when she first moved into the house and the outside doors were doing that. She called me, she locked herself in the bedroom one time, I came throuh.

"I had a weapon to make sure everyone was safe and I went through the house with the weapon and then we realised we needed ghostbusters. What I had was not going to defeat whatever enemy was in the house.

“That realisation came later, that we were looking for a culprit that doesn’t exist."

And MGK - whose real name is Colson Baker - believes his own home is haunted but the presence there doesn't bother him as much.

He told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres: “At my house, everyone who comes and stays past 7pm is like, ‘Yeah there’s definitely something in your kitchen’ but I realised they’re like, high ghosts.

"They’re always making ghost snacks or washing ghost dishes, they’re only doing pantry or refrigerator things so sometimes I let off a ‘thank you’.”

The 'Bloody Valentine' hitmaker recently revealed he has a necklace containing a vial of 34-year-old Megan's blood and he explained she gave him the unusual gift when he was worried about them being apart for a long time.

He said: “She was going out of town to film a movie, this was really new in our relationship, I didn’t have a passport so she was going to Bulgaria and I was freaking out, ‘You’re going to leave and I can’t come see you.’

"Some people give a handkerchief or whatever to their partner, she gave me her DNA.”

Fortunately, the rapper now has a passport and praised senator Bernie Sanders for helping save his relationship.

Confirming he now has the document, he added: “You know who helped me get a passport? Bernie Sanders. Thank you so much, I haven’t talked to him since that happened, but thank you so much to the Bernie Sanders team, I made it to Bulgaria and it’s all going strong.”
