Lucy Hale is "thankful to be safe" after her home was burglarised.
The 'Pretty Little Liars' star had about $15,000 worth of items stolen from her home in San Fernando Valley last week, and in a tweet posted to her Twitter account on Tuesday (09.01.18), the actress has said she is "lucky" no-one was injured during the break-in.
She wrote: "Thanks for all the kind words about my house luckily no one was hurt. Sad to lose some sentimental items , but thankful to be safe (sic)"
Her tweet comes after it was revealed that burglars got into the property early on Friday morning (05.01.18) through a smashed front window and took some jewellery and purses.
According to reports, Lucy was not home at the time of the break in.
But the 28-year-old star isn't the only celebrity to have their house ransacked lately, as 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Kyle Richards and her husband Mauricio Umanksy had more than $1 million worth of jewellery stolen from their home in Encino, California whilst they were on holiday in Aspen, Colorado.
The crime was discovered by a housekeeper and it soon became apparent that the burglars had gone straight for the jewellery box - snatching $150,000 worth of watches.
The couple bought the home in October for $8.2 million and had only recently moved in as they were still in the process of moving in and renovating the house at the end of December.
Last year also saw Mariah Carey's Los Angeles home robbed of $50,000 worth of accessories in October, whilst the star was in New York.
In 2017, burglars also targeted the homes of celebrities including Jason Derulo, Scott Disick, Kendall Jenner, Alanis Morissette, David Spade and Emmy Rossum.
