The 23-year-old singer fuelled romance rumours after he was seen at Oberweis ice cream parlour in the city "holding" onto the 20-year-old brunette beauty.
An eyewitness confirmed to E! News: "He was behind her and had his arms around her. It was really sweet!
"They seemed cuddly - he was holding her for a little while."
And a fan also shared a photo of the pair cuddling at the cafe on Twitter alongside a caption, which read: "Louis in Chicago at Oberweis ice cream with Danielle! (sic)"
And that's not all, later on, the One Direction hunk and 'The Originals' star crashed a 21st birthday party where Louis is believed to have left his passport, coat and mobile phone.
Alongside a group picture of partygoers including Louis, a fan confirmed: "Louis attending a birthday (@Guacamohle) last night in Chicago (sic)."
And a friend of the birthday girl later posted an update that the 1D star had left his belongings at the house.
They wrote: "@clairedontcare he went to my friend's 21st birthday party and left his coat with his passport and dead phone lol!! (sic)"
The 'History' singer - who is expecting his first child with stylist Briana Jungwirth - first sparked rumours of a possible romance between himself and stunning actress after the pair were seen enjoying a milkshake together earlier this month.
