Louis Tomlinson vomited on the side of the pitch at a charity soccer game after being hacked down.
The One Direction hunk was crunched by professional soccer player Gabriel Agbonlahor as he played in a match in Glasgow, Scotland, yesterday (08.09.13) to raise money for former Aston Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov's charities following the retired sportsman's diagnosis with leukaemia.
Louis was running down the wing for a Celtic XI, made up of soccer legends and celebrities, when he was scythed down by Villa striker Agbonlahor, who was playing for a Petrov XI, and after leaving the pitch in pain to a chorus of boos he started being sick on the sidelines.
The incident was witnessed by a 60,000-strong crowd at a packed out Celtic Park, but it sparked a furious reaction from One Direction fans - known as Directioners - who sent 26-year-old soccer player Agbonlahor death threats on Twitter.
One wrote: "This guy hurt Louis knee. I shall hurt your face. I better hear that you apologised or I will find you, and I will kill you. (sic)"
Another seething fan tweeted: "DON'T EVER TOUCH LOUIS AGAIN WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE (sic)"
However, some took to the social networking site to praise Agbonlahor - who has played for England three times - but he later apologised for the tackle.
He said: "It was one of those things. I'll apologise to Louis when we meet up after the game."
Several stars including Westlife's Nicky Byrne, Glasvegas singer James Allan and comedian John Bishop played in the spectacle.
Last month, Louis signed up to be a professional soccer player by joining his hometown club Doncaster Rovers as a non-contract player.
He is expected to appear for the club's development side this season in order to raise money for children's charity Bluebell Wood.
