Louis Smith has been named as Sports Ambassador for the National Citizen Service (NCS).

The 26-year-old Olympic gymnast will follow in the footsteps of rapper Tinie Tempah by partnering with the programme throughout 2016, hosting talks and visiting young people around the country.
He will take part in the NCS YES LIVE music event and awards show which will take place at the Camden Roundhouse on 29 March 2016 and will be headlined by Tine Tempah.
The NCS is a three-week part-residential programme for 16-17 year olds in the UK, designed to build confidence, grow life skills and increase social conscience.
Louis said: "I'm really proud to be working with NCS in 2016. Supporting young people is something I'm really passionate about. Gymnastics was the thing that really connected with me when I was younger and I'm lucky enough to be in a position to share that and inspire young people to find out what empowers them in life. I think the work that NCS does with teens across the country is amazing; giving opportunities for them build confidence, make new friends and build stronger communities. I'm really looking forward to getting more involved with their projects and helping to inspire more young people."

It was also revealed that NCS Snapchat Ambassador Poppy Jamie will join four of the UK's top YouTubers Ali-A, Emma Blackerry, Jake Boys and Emily Canham, who have almost 10 million subscribers collectively, to attend and report live from the live music event.
