Lorraine Kelly's first crush was Mr Spock from 'Star Trek'.
The 'Lorraine' host admits she has always loved the science fiction franchise and still has the Mr Spock doll her father gave her when she was a young girl.
She said: "I've loved Star Trek since I was a child in the 60s and Mr Spock was my first crush! Steve bought me this Spock doll many years ago and it's one of my most treasured possessions.
"My dad and I have always loved science fiction and astronomy and I remember he bought me a telescope for my fifth birthday. I actually had the pleasure of interviewing Leonard Nimoy who played Mr Spock on my show in 1995 and I was totally star-struck. It was very sad when he died last year."
The 56-year-old television presenter also has another hero, Antarctic explorer Ernest Shackleton.
She added to the Daily Mail's Weekend magazine: "This flat is full of some of my favourite things, like these Ernest Shackleton stamps - the Antarctic explorer has been my all-time hero since I was a child and I've collected memorabilia for years.
"I'd like to visit his grave at Grytviken in the South Atlantic - I'd be able to see penguins too; I love them and this certificate is for the one named after me at London Zoo."
