Lisa Marie Presley has been ordered to pay her estranged husband $100,000.
The 50-year-old singer - who is the daughter of the late musical icon Elvis Presley and business magnate Priscilla Presley - has been embroiled in a divorce battle with her estranged husband Michael Lockwood since the pair split in 2016, and despite recently claiming she is in $16 million of debt, a judge on Wednesday (28.02.18) ordered that she part with $100k to pay for Michael's legal fees.
According to TMZ, Michael believes Lisa is lying about the state of her finances, as he alleges she earns far more than she spends.
Michael had originally asked for $450,000 from his estranged wife, but the judge has instead ordered her to hand over $100,000, which she must pay within 30 days.
Previously, Lisa alleged in court documents filed as part of her ongoing divorce that she was in $16.7 million of debt, which was made up of defaulted payments on the mortgage for her $6 million home in the UK, as well as unpaid income tax and almost $50,000 in credit card bills.
Justin Stiegemeyer, Lisa's current business manager who is responsible for "day-to-day finances and paying all of her bills," alleged that the 'Dirty Laundry' hitmaker had first learned of her debt while her old business manager, Provident Financial Management, was handling her finances.
Stiegemeyer also claimed that Lisa "had not been provided with proper accountings or notices or been kept abreast of her finances" by her former business manager and that at the time they were fired, Lisa had "total liquid assets of less than $20,000."
It was also claimed recently that Lisa is seeking legal action against her former business manager Barry Siegel, whom she has accused of dissipating her wealth "through his reckless and negligent mismanagement and self serving-ambition."
Lisa is said to be suing Barry for breach of trust, negligence and constructive fraud, but the manager has already hit back with a lawsuit of his own, claiming the star has "uncontrollable spending habits".
His attorney told The Blast: "It's clear Lisa Marie is going through a difficult time in her life and looking to blame others instead of taking responsibility for her actions.
"[She has] stopped paying my clients and is now blaming them for her uncontrollable spending habits."
