Lindsay Lohan's half-brother was rushed to hospital earlier this week.
The 27-year-old actress' father Michael Lohan was left fearing for his 16-month-old son Landon's life after he was struck down with a dangerously high fever.
Speaking to RadarOnline.com, he said: "Landon woke up with a 105.1 fever. He was limp and lethargic. I didn't know if he was going to make it. I was afraid it was not a virus but something worse."
The baby was prescribed medication by doctors at the hospital and is now on the road to recovery.
Meanwhile, Michael has been forced to adapt to life as a single parent after his fiancée Kate Major, the mother of Landon, was sentenced to eight months behind bars after she was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) earlier this year.
Michael explained: "He's [Landon is] my life now and he's amazing. He's all I have down here now.
"I thought it would be really really hard to be a single dad, but you roll with the punches."
However, Michael, who also has children Michael Jr., 26, Aliana, 20, Cody, 17, and Ashley, 15, from previous relationships, won't let Landon visit his mother in prison.
He said: "You can only talk by phone and I don't want Landon to see his mother on the phone or through bars."
