Lindsay Lohan has reportedly been undergoing hypnotherapy to help her give up smoking.
The 28-year-old actress has turned to psychotherapy in the hope of kicking her nicotine addiction before she performs in 'Speed-the-Plow' from September 24 until November 29 at London's Playhouse Theatre.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Lindsay knows that all eyes will be on her and she's worried that if she really starts to crave nicotine when on stage, it'll put her off. Plus, she doesn't want to be wheezing while she's treading the boards.
"Some people may not believe in the powers of hypnosis or think it's all about swinging a watch about, but Lindsay is willing to try anything to make sure she's a hit."
The 'Mean Girls' star, who documented her battle to get her career and life back on track in her self-titled OWN reality TV series following her sixth stint in rehab last year, revealed in June that she would be taking on the lead role in the revival of David Mamet's production, which offers a satirical look at Hollywood.
She said: "It's the first time I've done a stage play or anything like that. I'm nervous but I'm excited."
Meanwhile, not only is Lindsay trying to quit smoking, she has also been hitting the gym more than ever in order to get in shape for her West End debut.
