Lindsay Lohan's mother pleaded not guilty to Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) charges on Tuesday (24.09.13).
Dina Lohan had been pulled up by police whilst driving in Long Island at the beginning of the month allegedly for speeding,during the stop officers discovered her blood alcohol level was .20, more than twice the legal limit of .08. As a result Lohan was charged to appeared before a court in New York with her attorney, Mark Heller. Dina Lohan was released without bail as she has no prior convictions.
The presiding judge did suspend the 50-year-old mother-of-four's driving licence, reports website TMZ.
Dina, who was then driven away from the hearing in a silver Rolls Royce, is due back in court on October 23.
Daughter Lindsay reportedly started "begging" her mother to seek help for alleged alcohol problems last month.
A source previously claimed: "Lindsay has been worried sick about Dina lately.
"She knows Dina has been out drinking and she sees how much her own treatment helped her, so she has been begging her mother to go and get help."
