Liam Payne is a terrible skateboarder.
The One Direction hunk suffered head injuries as a teenager when he attempted to show off his skateboarding skills and fell flat on his face, so he has banished his board to the back of his cupboard.
Asked if there are any sports he's bad at, Liam said: "Skateboarding! I was 16 and I decided to try out the biggest ramp at the skate park, which really was the stupidest thing ever.
"I though id be fine if I hurt myself, as I didn't have any gigs coming up. I went down the ramp, the skateboard flipped up and my head hit the floor.
"I got a massive graze and bruised my face, and when I got home my dad told me I had two gigs lined up - I had to perform them looking like that!"
The 20-year-old singer also opened up about the boys' friendship, revealing that contrary to public opinion, they occasionally have fallouts when they spend too much time together.
Liam added to Top of the Pops magazine: "We all get on really well and just have a laugh. It's like a group of kids at school having private jokes that the teachers aren't in on.
"I'm not going to lie and say that we don't have arguments because everyone has arguments, especially when you're all thrown together into a situation but it's surprising how well we do get on."
