Liam Hemsworth helped Ashlee Simpson celebrate her birthday.
The 23-year-old star joined the blonde beauty - who turned 29 on October 3 - on Saturday night (05.10.13) for cake and champagne at Japanese restaurant Umi, in Atlanta, arriving around 11pm accompanied with three male friends, including Liam who just called off his engagement to Miley Cyrus.
A source told People magazine: "Liam was solo. Of course, all the girls in the restaurant wanted to sit close to him, but nothing. He didn't seem interested. He just came with his boys."
Ashlee was also with 25-year-old boyfriend Evan Ross, who she has been dating since July, and the lovebirds made it apparent that they were an item.
The source added: "Ashlee and Evan were really sweet. You'd definitely know they were dating if you saw them together."
Evan - son of Motown legend Diana Ross - in currently in Atlanta, as he is filming 'Mockingjay', the third film in the 'Hunger Games' series, where he play Messalla while starring alongside lead character Jennifer Lawrence and Hollywood hunk Liam.
