Liam Gallagher dedicated 'Live Forever' to Mac Miller at his Lollapalooza Berlin gig on Sunday (09.09.18).
The former Oasis frontman paid the touching tribute to the late rapper, who sadly passed away from an apparent overdose on Friday (07.09.18) aged just 26, during his set at the music extravaganza.
Before playing the 1994 classic from 1994's 'Definitely Maybe' LP, Liam told the crowd: "This is dedicated to a lad who's just passed away, Mac Miller."
Praising the audience at the festival, Liam later wrote on Twitter: "Loved that gig in Berlin tday tnight what evertime it is was top crowd love Berlin as you were LG x (sic)"
The 'Bold' singer had met the 'Dang!' hitmaker on several occasions and he regularly covered Liam's former band's hit song 'Wonderwall'.
The pair's last public meeting was at the One Love Manchester benefit concert in June, 2017, which was put on to raise money for the victims of the terror attack at Mac's ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande's concert in the northern city in England the month before.
On hearing the young star's death, Liam wrote on the micro-blogging site: "Mac miller RIP x (sic)"
The 45-year-old rocker's tribute comes after G-Eazy broke down in tears dedicating his song 'Everything Will Be OK' to his late friend as he performed at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre in Florida on the day the musician died.
A photo of Mac was projected onto the screen behind him, with the rapper telling the crowd: "I swear, life is so f***ing fragile. Appreciate the moment. Be present in it. Tell people you love you care about them."
Days before his death, Mac spoke candidly about dealing with the pressures of fame.
Reflecting on the stresses of success, he said: "There's pressure. A lot of times in my life I've put this pressure to hold myself to the standard of whatever I thought I was supposed to be, or how I was supposed to be perceived. It's the job. This is what I signed up for. So, you just have to not. You have to have your own reality and that has to be the driving force of your life. Do I wish that every single thing I did when I was 19 wasn't a discussion? Sure."
