The 'Great Gatsby' star was spotted having a look at a 4,326 sq ft environmental-friendly apartment on Fifth Avenue, which comes with the hefty asking price of $12,975,000, according to the New York Post newspaper.
The plush property is complete with three large bedrooms, a number of marble bathrooms, a library to stash his books away and a big dressing room to store his grooming products.
The 38-year-old actor - who is reportedly dating model Kat Torres -has been on the lookout for a new home since the beginning of the year, but his varied taste has taken him across the scale of uptown townhouses and downtown penthouses.
Meanwhile, Gisele Bundchen - who was in a five-year relationship with DiCaprio - and her husband Tom Brady recently bought a $14 million apartment in the Big Apple after falling in love with the three-bedroom, full-floor condominium on the 47th floor of a luxury residential tower in Manhattan.
A source said: "They went for the model apartment, which is a full-floor private residence with amazing city and river-to-river plus park views."
