The former 'Gossip Girl' actress - who is married to Adam Brody - has always ended her romances but she has been "hurt" in relationships in the past and thinks she has sometimes stayed with the wrong guy for too long.
She told YouTube series 'Sound Advice': "I've never really been dumped I guess, but I've been hurt.
"Not really, but the most heartbreaking thing is I've just stuck it out for a really long time."
Though the 28-year-old star is looking forward to performing more gigs this year, she also wants to spend quality time at home with her friends and family.
Asked her future plans, she told website Idolator: "Right now I'm making plans to do more shows and mostly hanging at home. I've done a ton of traveling in the last year/year-and-a-half which is great, but sometimes it's nice to just chill. So spending a lot of time with friends and family. Besides that, I don't really know."
Leighton recently admitted her values have "shifted" since she married Adam in February 24.
She said: "My values have shifted greatly in terms of what I find important. It's my family, my friends and having a personal life. Those are the things that need nurturing."
