LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian are starring in a new reality TV show that will air later this year on VH1 and hope it will show people that they are a normal couple.
The couple, who first revealed in May that they were developing their own TV series, will star in six half-hour episodes, that will air on VH1 later this year or in early 2014, as they want to take control of the way the public sees them.
The 30-year-old singer and the 39-year-old actor released a joint statement about the series on Wednesday (07.08.13), saying: "We are really excited to be working together on a unique show that will give you a glimpse into who we really are or better yet, who we're really not.
"We're thrilled to partner with VH1 and The Gurneys [the producers of 'Duck Dynasty'] to put our spin on a project full of love, humour and music."
LeAnn and Eddie caused controversy when they met on the set of TV movie 'Northern Lights' and embarked on an affair while both were married to other people.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2011, were previously said to have decided not to feature Eddie's sons with his ex-wife Brandi Glanville, Mason, nine, and Jake, six, on the show but a press release has confirmed it will focus on her role as a stepmother, "learning how to navigate the co-parenting of Eddie's two sons."
Tom Calderone, the President of VH1 added, "LeAnn and Eddie are both talented entertainers who have really captured the public's imagination in the last couple of years, but there is so much more to them than what is in the tabloids.
"This is going to be a really fun show in which we hope to reveal what their lives are really like -- from the normalcy of their home life, to what drives them artistically, to the chaos of their celebrity life."
