The 'Pokerface' hitmaker will perform 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at the annual sporting event, which takes place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on Sunday (07.02.15).
During the breaks from the sporting action - which will see the Carolina Panthers take on the Denver Broncos in the National Football League final - Coldplay will also make an appearance, gracing the stage for the coveted half-time set.
Revealing the group's special guests, frontman Chris Martin said: "I love the whole concept of trying to present your entire musical life in 12 and a half minutes. We've possibly got 11 good minutes. So we have some special guests and they'll cover the rest.
"There's a spot on the stage which may be Beyoncé's footprint ... And we could look for a Bruno Mars one."
Gushing about the exciting news, he added at the time: "We are so excited and honoured and thrilled to be playing the half-time show.
"It's about how do we stage our special guest. This is the greatest moment in our band's life. We are going to give it everything we have."
