The 52-year-old singer and actress received the accolade during GLAMOUR magazine’s virtual ceremony on Thursday (11.03.21), which was held to mark the publication’s 20th anniversary.

The awards ceremony recognised game changing female talent from various industries including beauty, entertainment, sports, and wellness, who have not only excelled in their fields but have also used their platform for activism and empowerment.

Speaking in a video message, Kylie said: “Hello Glamour, thank you so so much for this recognition. This is truly unexpected, a total honour, and I’m very much humbled by this. Thank you for giving me an excuse to pause for a minute and reflect on the many things that have gotten me to where I am today – the people, the places, the tears that sometimes lead to triumph.

“I think the constant I’ve always had and that I’ve always fought for is to not be boxed in, and to be able to really shapeshift and morph and grow and develop, and for that reason to be part of your Gamechangers Awards is very much meaningful to me. If that can be encouraging to anyone to follow their path and to enjoy that voyage of self-discovery, that’s just amazing.”

The ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ hitmaker also wished the publication a happy anniversary, and said she “looks forward” to working with GLAMOUR for another 20 years.

She added: “Happy Anniversary! Happy 20th to you. We’ve had a lot of fun over those 20 years and I look forward to the next 20. Thank you once again, and lots and lots of love.”

Elsewhere in the ceremony – which is available to watch in full at glamourmagazine.co.uk – Victoria Beckham was named the Fashion Gamechanger, whilst ‘Stranger Things’ star Millie Bobby Brown bagged the accolade for the Beauty category.

Awkwafina took home the Gamechanging Creator gong, with the Mental Health Gamechanger award going to Frankie Bridge, and the Wellness trophy being handed to Miranda Kerr.

Gamechanging Actor went to Priyanka Chopra Jonas, whilst Little Mix received the Music equivalent.

There was also an exclusive award handed to the NHS Frontline Workers amid the COVID-19 pandemic, who won the Special Gamechanging Award.
