Kourtney Kardashian "woke up with a smile" after Bruce Jenner confirmed his gender transition.
The 36-year-old reality TV star, whose mother Kris was married to the former Olympian from 1991 until 2015, has joined other members of her family in voicing her support for Bruce, who announced his transition to the world during a tell-all interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer.
Kourtney tweeted: "Elated by the overwhelming support for Bruce's bravery&courage to be himself.Woke up with a smile on my face knowing this will change lives. (sic)"
During his TV interview, Bruce - who declined to reveal what his new name would be - said he knew from a young age that he wanted to be woman, even though he didn't understand it at the time.
Speaking on 'Bruce Jenner: The Interview', the former athlete revealed the lengths he went to in order to keep his identity a secret.
He shared: "I marked the closet so that when I put it back I could put it all back in the exact same spot so I wouldn't get caught.
"At that time I didn't know why I was doing it. Besides that it just made me feel good."
