Jenny McCarthy thinks boyfriend Donnie Wahlberg "brings out the best" in her.

The 40-year-old blonde beauty has been dating the 44-year-old singer since July and she admits she feels very happy with the New Kids on the Block star.

She said: "He makes me feel really comfortable and puts me at ease and he brings out the best in me."

Jenny - who is new co-host on ABC's 'The View' - feels so relaxed around him that she insisted he was her first guest on the talk show.

She told People magazine: "He was booked to come on the show later to promote 'Blue Bloods', and I said, 'Can you just switch the date to be my first guest? ... So I thought, 'Why not step out of your comfort zone, for me, and make me feel comfy on that day?' "

Jenny - who has an 11-year-old son, Evan, with ex-husband John Mallory Asher - thinks Donnie's "work ethic" is an attractive quality and believes they are compatible because he too has children - Xavier, 20, and Elijah, 12, with ex-wife Kimberly Fey - which helps him understand her the difficultly she faces balancing work and family.

She added: "Our work ethic, I would say, is a huge characteristic trait that makes me attracted to him. He understands my work schedule and he has his and I get it and we're both single parents and he's trying to juggle all of that while I am too. That's another huge point in his direction."
