The former couple - who were seen putting on a united front to support daughter Kendall Jenner at the Victoria's Secret fashion show earlier this week - are in a "great place" and getting along well and the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star is thrilled her family is "coming back together" following her stepfather's transition earlier this year.

Kim said: "They're in such a great place now and our family is like totally coming back together, but I do respect that adjustment process and having to just adjust to a different lifestyle.

"It's our new normal and everyone is doing such a great job, we communicate really well.

"I think the whole family does and we're really vocal so I think that really helps."

Kim - who is expecting her second child with husband Kanye West - thinks the fact her whole family always make one another their top priority has been key to making their unit "stronger" than ever.

She added in an interview with E! News: "We all know family is everything to us it's always been our number one priority and I think that that will always remain our number one priority and I think if we stick with that, obviously there can be adjustment periods and people will have to get used to things, but we just become stronger from that."

And the 35-year-old beauty thinks it is "normal" to have taken several months for the family to fully come to terms with the 'I Am Cait' star's new identity.

She said: "I think for anyone that goes through this, it's not the most common thing so I don't think a lot of people can really understand it.

"It's been an adjustment and it takes time and that's OK. That's normal."
