Kanye West says Kim Kardashian is his "support system".

The 'New Slaves' rapper gushed about his girlfriend during in which he admitted she has been able to help him focus his energy on spending time with his family since they welcomed their daughter, North, in June.

Speaking in an in depth interview on UK station BBC Radio One, he said: "Family time is what Kim gave me. She gave me everything. She gave me a family, she gave me a support system."

The outspoken musician claims one of the reasons he fell in love with the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star is because she had made her own fortune and he didn't have to worry that she was interested in him for his money.

Kanye said: "She was in a powerful enough situation where she could love me without asking me for money, which is really hard for me to find."

The 36-year-old rap star also admitted he lives for the moment and is determined to take every opportunity that comes his way and do what he wants to do, regardless of whether his actions or art offends anyone.

He said: "If I see something, I see an opportunity - I'm gonna go for it, you know what I'm saying?

"We're all gonna die one day. So live like that. Live like you could die tomorrow! You know, go for it."
