Kieran Culkin jokingly told Pedro Pascal to "suck it" after beating him to the Best Actor (Drama) Golden Globe Award.
The 40-year-old actor poked fun at the 'Last of Us' star as he took to the stage at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles on Sunday (07.01.24) to accept the prize for the first time in five nominations for his portrayal of Roman Roy in 'Succession'.
Kieran - who was nominated alongside 'Succession' co-stars Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong, Dominic West from 'The Crown' and 'Slow Horses' star Gary Oldman, as well as Pedro - quipped: "Oh nightmare. Sit down. Sorry, burping, indigestion.
"This is a nice moment for me - I've blown it already Jazz, you were right. You said just say thanks and leave, you were right.
"I was nominated for a Golden Globe like 20 years ago and when that moment passed I thought, 'I'm never going to be back in this room again', which was fine, whatever.
"But thanks to 'Succession', I've been here a couple of times but accepted I was never going to be on the stage. Suck it Pedro, sorry. Mmhmm, mine."
The camera then cut to the former 'Game of Thrones' actor in the audience as he laughed at the jibe.
Kieran then went on to pay tribute to those who worked on 'Succession', as well as his loved ones.
He added: "I'd like to thank everyone in 'Succession', Jesse, our writers, the amazing cast, everybody who showed up and believed in this thing. This isn't mine, it was one for the time.
"I want to thank three amazing women in my life, my manager, Emily Gerson Saines, without whom I wouldn't have a career, my wife Jazz for putting up with this and all the s*** that comes with it, and my amazing mom, mom thank you so much for everything you did, you're an amazing woman."
