Rick Fox has offered his support to Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom.
The 46-year-old actor, who briefly dated the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' beauty earlier this year, reached out to her after her estranged husband was hospitalised following a drugs and alcohol-fuelled binge earlier this month.
He said: "I sent a text offering any help I can give."
The retired NBA star hopes his fellow former LA Lakers player Lamar, 35, makes a full recovery.
He told UsMagazine.com: "Anything needed, I am here for Lamar, definitely. I hope he is making progress."
Khloé, 31, recently called off her divorce in order to continue to supporting Lamar.
The reality TV star, who first filed for divorce in December 2013 after four years of marriage amid rumours he was addicted to crack cocaine and cheating on her, was spotted having a romantic dinner date with Rick in Los Angeles in May.
While their romance quickly fizzled out and Khloé soon moved on with Houston Rockers player James Harden, 26, Rick still considers her a close friend.
He added: "It's hard to be celebrities in L.A. And have any kind of supporting friendship and not have it [be] more than that. We are just friends doing this town. How do you do this town? It's hard to do this town!"
A source previously claimed Lamar, who is currently on dialysis, "definitely" needs a kidney transplant and doctors are still trying to establish the extent of damage to his body.
The insider said: "He's doing a tiny bit better. But he has a very long road back to full recovery -- if that."
