Kerry Katona was in "floods of tears" during marriage counselling.
The Atomic Kitten singer and her husband George Kay, 35, sought out couples therapy after just nine months of marriage and she revealed it helped them realise their love for each other.
She said: "We've been in floods of tears. The conclusion was that we were both madly in love with each other ... we were crying, kissing and hugging as well."
Kerry, 34, recently kicked George out of the home they shared with their 15-month-old son Dylan-Jorge and Kerry's children Molly, 13, Lilly-Sue, 12, Heidi, eight, and Max, seven, from previous relationships.
And although their marriage is now back on track, Kerry insists having George live separately was the best decision they could have made.
She explained: "We had to do what was best for our family. Which meant George moving out so he could get his head together, I didn't think it was over. I'm not giving up on something that's worth fighting for. Everybody thinks it's hearts and flowers. Thinking about it, you have never bought me flowers, George..."
Meanwhile, Kerry also confessed counselling taught them how to communicate through their troubles.
She told OK! magazine: "I think we learned that if you're unhappy with your partner, tell them. Don't go complaining to someone else. You should just talk and communicate with them."
