Kerry Katona is "worried" about Britney Spears.
The 41-year-old pop superstar regained control of her multimillion-dollar fortune and various aspects of her life when a conservatorship governed by her family in November 2021 and has now released her bombshell memoir 'The Woman in Me', in which she discusses the arrangement and other low points in her life.
Britney has also become known for posting a series of bizarre images and videos on Instagram and now former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry, 43, has been left wondering if it is even the "real" Britney appearing on social media.
Writing in her new! magazine column, Kerry said: A lot has been coming out from the first extracts of Britney Spears' book 'The Woman In Me' this last week and it's all a bit crazy, but I am looking forward to reading it - it's out this week. The Instagram videos she's been posting recently are worrying, especially as she did one dancing with knives last month.
"I'm not one to judge, but it is concerning. I see all these conspiracy theories on TikTok and they make me wonder if it's the real Britney in these videos."
The 'Lucky' songstress recently explained that the book – which takes its title from a lyric from her ’ 2001 hit ‘I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman' - is the result of extensive therapy
She told fans on her Instagram: “Ok guys so my book is coming out very, very soon.
“I worked my a** off for this book, I had a lot of therapy to get this book done, so you guys better like it. And if you don’t like it, that’s fine too.”
Britney is the third member of her family to release a tome telling the story of her rise to fame, with her mother Lynne Spears penning 'Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World' 2008 and her younger sister Jamie Lynn having published 'Things I Should Have Said' in 2022.
