The 40-year-old mother-of-five admitted that, like TV star Amanda Holden, she frequently roams around in the nude and often sunbathes topless when on holiday when her kids.
She said: “Amanda Holden has revealed that she walks round the house naked, much to the embarrassment of her kids – and so do I. I do it all the time. I don’t walk around naked on purpose but I don’t shut my bedroom door. If I’m in the bathroom, my kids just barge in anyway. You can’t go to the toilet in peace in my house. And when we go on family holidays, I’ll sunbathe topless. It doesn’t bother me and I’m not a prude in that respect.”
Kerry – who has been open about her mental health and addiction issues in the past – insisted that her nudity doesn’t embarrass her children.
She said: “When it comes to embarrassing my kids, I’m Kerry Katona – do I need to say anything else? It’s not always easy for my kids. They get things like ‘Your mum’s a coke head’. It’s doesn’t embarrass them but it does anger them when people say things like that.”
Kerry, who has been sober for 12 years, also hit out at online trolls after her recent appearance on TV show 'Tipping Point'.
Writing in her column for new! magazine, she said: "I was trending on Twitter after my appearance on 'Tipping Point: Lucky Stars' because people were saying really mean and horrible things. Has nobody learnt from what happened to Caroline Flack? It feels like we haven't got anywhere. If you haven't got anything nice to say, don't say it at all. We've all made mistakes but to be constantly reminded of it is not very nice."
