Kerry Katona thought she'd be married to Brian McFadden "forever".
The Atomic Kitten singer - who has daughters Molly, 14, and Lilly-Sue, 13, with the Westlife singer, Heidi, nine, and Max, seven, with second husband Mark Croft and daughter Dylan-Jorge, 23 months, with estranged third spouse George Kay - admits her life hasn't turned out the way she planned but she doesn't regret it as she has her "amazing" kids.
She said: "This isn't how I expected my life to turn out. I thought I'd be with my first husband forever, but I wouldn't have it any other way because I have five amazing kids."
The 35-year-old singer admits criticism of her turbulent personal life has been upsetting, but she knows she is a good mother regardless of the upheaval.
She told Closer magazine: "I've been slagged off so much for being a bad mum, which has been awful, so I always feel guilty.
"I know I'm doing a good job bringing up my children, so when people say, 'Those poor kids, all the different dads, all the different marriages', it's the most heartbreaking thing.
"I can't say I regret any of my marriages because they gave me my beautiful children."
And Kerry's children are incredibly "proud" of her.
Lilly-Sue said: "A lot of people will criticise her for everything that has happened in the past - but I'm proud of my mum for turning her life around.
"How many people can say they changed their life and made such a good person of themselves."
