Kerry Katona is considering moving back up North.
The 40-year-old star - who has daughters Molly, 19, and Lilly-Sue, 18, with Brian McFadden, Heidi, 13, and Max, 12, with Mark Croft, and six-year-old DJ with the late George Kay – hails from Warrington, North West England, but moved from Cheshire to Sussex in the South East last year with her fiancé Ryan Mahoney and now she’s thinking about relocating again so she can be closer to her beloved mum, Sue.
Writing in her latest New! magazine column, she said: “I am considering moving back up North because I want to be closer to my friends and my mum.
“Nothing is set in stone yet, but we’ve been thinking about it for a while.
“It would be nice to just have someone to go for a coffee with and then my mum can help out with childcare. We will see what happens.”
The former Atomic Kitten singer revealed last year she found it hard being away from her mum Sue amid the coronavirus lockdown, particularly because her parent was told to shield due to underlying health conditions and also began suffering panic attacks.
Speaking in April, she said: "My mum Sue is in the 'high risk' category when it comes to Covid-19 so she has to stay indoors for at least three months and is only allowed to open the window to get air.
"Of course she's scared and last week she had an angina attack. She's OK now, thank God, but it's left her having panic attacks and my heart breaks because I can't be with her.
"We try to keep her calm by FaceTiming her every day, just us pottering around the house so she can feel part of it.
"Never underestimate the effect this whole situation is having on people's mental health - be aware and check in on your loved ones every day."
