Kendall and Kylie Jenner feel "lucky" to have learned from their sisters' mistakes.
The reality stars - who have been on 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' since they were just nine and eight years old - admit it is difficult going through life experiences in the public eye, and though they don't always do everything right, they have avoided a lot of the pitfalls of celebrity by observing half-siblings Kim Kardashian West, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian.
Kendall said: "We are lucky enough to have older sisters who have been going through this for a long time, so we kinda got to watch them go through it and learn from that.
"But like we still make our mistakes of our own but seeing them go through it kinda has actually helped us."
The 20-year-old model insisted she and her family are "super normal" but admitted some people can't "accept" their fame or lavish lifestyles.
Speaking on Australian TV programme 'Today', she said: "Not everyone can always accept the life that we live and the TV show.
"But I think once people get to know us, actually get to know us, they start to realise that we are super normal humans who love and care and we have feelings."
And both Kendall and Kylie admitted there were times when they wished their lives weren't being played out on TV.
Kendall said: "When we were younger we would come home from school and they would be filming and they would be like 'Oh come in the room, come hang out with us' and we would be like, 'No I want to go do my homework.'
"So there was like a moment where we were like not as in to it."
Kylie added: "I feel like we didn't realise how much people were going to love our family when we started a reality TV show.
"There was definitely a point in-between, where I can speak for myself, that I didn't want it but I was like 13 and I was like, 'Uh I just want to be normal.' "
