Kendall Jenner thinks her fame made it difficult for her to be taken seriously as a model.
The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star admits having a famous family has meant she has had to work even harder to make a success of her modelling career.
She said: "In the topic of offensiveness to some of the things people assume about our family, I think everyone around me, whether friends or family, knows how hard I worked and work. I did everything that I was supposed to do and had to do to get to the position I’m at now as a model. I went to every single casting, ran all over not only New York City but all over Europe trying to get a job and make my way."
The 25-year-old model and reality star knows she had a "platform" because of her fame and the show, but she claims people "didn't want to hire her" because she was on a reality TV show.
Speaking on the family's reunion show, hosted by Andy Cohen, she added: "Of course I had a platform, I never took that for granted. I always knew that was there.
"That almost made my job a little bit harder only because people probably didn’t want to hire me because I was on a reality TV show. I definitely worked my way to where I am now."
Meanwhile, Kendall previously admitted she has "learned a lot" from beauty shoots.
She said: "I learn a lot from being on set. What taught me most about how to do my own makeup is just my own face and finding out what looks good on me and what doesn't."
