Kelly Clarkson was "pathetically alone" before she got married.
The former 'X Factor' USA winner, who has announced she's pregnant with her first child after marrying Brandon Blackstock, has spoken about her struggle to find love.
She told Parade magazine: "I was single for almost seven years. Every Christmas, it was like, 'Seriously, I'm still pathetically alone? Awesome. I'm still telling people I'm okay with it? I'm not."
The 'Stronger' singer admitted she only dated three men before music manager Brandon, who she married on October 20 in Tennessee.
The 31-year-old said: "Two of them were good, just not a good fit. I only had one real stinker that I wrote [music about] and made a lot of money off of."
But now she's in love and starting her own family, as well as relishing the role of stepmother to Brandon's children, Savannah, 11, and Seth, seven.
The brunette star also says she isn't worried about piling on the pounds during her own pregnancy.
She said: "I've never been Gisele Bündchen, so ain't nobody expectin' that! I like to set a [low] standard so people don't expect a lot," adding, "Everybody calls me fat all the time, so I can't wait to have a reason, instead of everybody just being a jerk."
