Kelly Clarkson is excited to officially become a stepmother.
The 'Stronger' hitmaker, who is set to marry her fiance Brandon Blackstock at the end of October in Nashville, Tennessee, really enjoys looking after his two children from a previous marriage but admits she can be strict.
The 31-year-old singer said: "I have a 12-year-old and a 6-year-old now ... after being single for six years! We all live together and everything ... it's so different, but it's perfect.
"They're awesome and I actually really dig the mom thing ... I am quick to go, 'I told you not to touch that!'... I am totally my mom. My mom was a hard mom."
Meanwhile, Kelly is too busy touring with Maroon 5 and preparing her new album to enjoy the final stages of planning her wedding.
She told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show: "It's two months away. It's end of October. I'm so over it. It's so overwhelming. We're just doing a lot: touring and the wedding and the Christmas album, so I'm over the wedding part."
