Keith Urban has urged Demi Lovato to surround herself with "good people", following her apparent overdose.
The 50-year-old country superstar has battled addiction issues in the past, and has shared some wise words of encouragement for the 'Sorry Not Sorry' hitmaker, who was rushed to hospital last week when she was found unconscious at her home after reportedly taking a mysterious substance.
Although Keith noted he doesn't know about Demi's situation, the star - who has been in rehab for addiction three times - said part of the fight is having "a willingness to want to live a different way".
Speaking on Australian morning show 'Today Extra', he said: "I don't know anything about her personally. [But I'd tell her] just [to have] good people around her and a willingness to want to live a different way if that's what she wants to do. It's all up to her."
Keith's last trip to rehab was in 2006, shortly after he married his wife Nicole Kidman, with whom he has daughters Sunday, 10, and Faith, seven.
And the 'Long Hot Summer' singer recently admitted he will always be grateful to his 51-year-old wife for forcing him to confront his issues head on.
He said: "My wife put an intervention together - it was love in action."
Previously, Keith revealed he thought he would "lose it all" before heading into rehab, and said the decision to seek help gave him "life".
He said: "I was going to lose it all. It was like, 'If I don't choose this moment to do the right thing and do something that's going to give me life, all of the things I'm scared of losing. I'm going to lose anyway.'"
Demi had previously celebrated six years of sobriety earlier this year, but revealed she had broken that milestone in a track called 'Sober', which was released in June.
The 25-year-old singer is currently being cared for in hospital and is expected to go straight into rehab once she's discharged.
