Katie Price has slammed Dwight Yorke for not "accepting" their disabled son.
The 44-year-old former soccer player hasn't seen 14-year-old Harvey - who suffers from a number of health problems, including septo-optic dysplasia and genetic disorder Prader-Willi Syndrome - for eight years and his ex-partner is frustrated that he doesn't understand his conditions or want to spend time with the youngster regardless of his problems.
And Katie thinks Dwight has a particularly hard time understanding how Prader-Willi Syndrome leaves Harvey constantly hungry.
She said: "The last time Harvey's biological father Dwight Yorke saw him, which was around eight years ago, the first thing he asked was why Harvey was so big. Why was I overfeeding him?
"I'd explained Harvey's condition to Dwight many times, but he refused to understand it and kept going on about him being fat.
"It's sad that he is unable to accept Harvey for who he is and seems unable or unwilling to work within his limitations.
"On that occasion, I think Dwight wanted to blame someone for the fact that his son is disabled.
"I have always said that if Dwight could see what a courageous and talented boy Harvey is then he would enjoy being with him so much.
"For me, it's impossible to understand why a little boy's dad wouldn't make contact after being sent snaps of his son opening his birthday presents, learning swing ball, or giggling his head off on a quad bike. They are such precious moments."
Katie went on to slam Dwight as a "true coward", comparing him to comedian Frankie Boyle, who sparked hundreds of complaints when he made cruel jibes about Harvey.
In an extract from her new autobiography 'Reborn' published by The Sun newspaper, she wrote: "Any man can fill a pram but it takes a real man to be a father.
"Dwight's actions are so disappointing and I have come to the conclusion that, like [Frankie] Boyle, he is another true coward.
"Over the past few years I've continuously had to defend Harvey from cruelty and ignorance. Like many parents in my situation, I don't want sympathy or pity but do wish for more empathy and understanding."
The 38-year-old star - who also has children Junior, 11, and Princess, nine, with ex-husband Peter Andre and Jett, three, and Bunny, two, with spouse Kieran Hayler - is pleased partially-sighted Harvey has been able to progress far more than medics predicted he would when he was born.
She said: "I want everyone to see that disability doesn't have to mean a life lived within limits. There are things Harvey can now do, like reading, that we once believed would never be possible.
"In fact, when he was born, the experts were doubtful he'd even be able to speak, cuddle me, or do half of the things he now does.
"But with the right encouragement and help he's developed into a gorgeous, funny, smart, mischievous and incredibly courageous little boy who plays a central and positive role in our family.
