Katie Price has revealed that she received messages from Oscar Pistorius during the athlete's murder trial.
The star confesses that when she first found that the Paralympian had direct messaged her over Twitter she was shocked, after she spoke out about the case earlier in the year.
Stating previously that she wasn't going to "judge" Oscar - who was cleared of murder but jailed for five years for culpable homicide - Katie didn't want to jump to conclusions because of media reports, and a month later Oscar followed Katie on Twitter.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Katie explained: "He was direct messaging me during the case. It's weird, isn't it? He was saying, 'Thanks for the support', and stuff. Just general chit-chat. He was the first one to message me.
"Because I mentioned him in my column, he was referencing that. I wasn't exactly supporting him, but everyone who goes through a trial will be the only one who knows what really happened. You're innocent until you're proven guilty."
It was Katie's brother Dan who first noticed Oscar had been sending her messages, and she couldn't believe him at first.
"He said, 'Oh my god, Kate - have a look at who's direct messaged you on Twitter'. I said, 'It's got to be fake'. He said, 'No, it's from his verified account'."
Now, Katie hopes to one day meet Oscar: "I would interview him, I would love to."
