Katie Price is set to finalise her divorce from Kieran Hayler before the end of 2020.
The 42-year-old television personality split from Kieran - with whom she has son Jett, seven, and daughter Bunny, six - in 2018 after five years of marriage, and it has now been revealed the former couple have finally had their divorce papers signed off, which will see them legally separated by New Year’s Eve (31.12.20), just in time for the start of 2021.
A source told The Sun: "The final fees have been paid and the paperwork has all been signed off. [Katie] was hoping to be single for Christmas, but allowing for delays over the festive season, she should be free and single by New Year's Eve."
Whilst a representative for Katie confirmed: “This is the case - they're waiting for the decree absolute to drop through the letter box.”
Both Katie and Kieran have been eager for their divorce to be finalised as quickly as possible, as they have both now moved on, with Katie romancing Carl Woods, and Kieran engaged to new beau Michelle Penticost.
And Katie - who is also mother to 18-year-old son Harvey, whom she has with Dwight Yorke, and Junior, 15, and Princess, 13, from her first marriage to Peter Andre - is keen to tie the knot with Carl, after she recently admitted she’d love for him to propose to her over the festive season.
But Katie will be left disappointed, as the former ‘Love Island’ star insisted he's got no plans to present her with a new ring this close to Christmas.
Carl said: "A Christmas engagement isn't on the cards. Sorry, it's not going to happen."
Despite Katie's disappointment, she knows her 31-year-old boyfriend - who she has been dating for less than a year - does plan to ask her to be his wife "very soon".
She said: "He says it's going to happen when I least expect it. We will get engaged and get married, 100 percent. But he won't tell me when. He says it'll be very soon."
If the pair do marry, Carl will be Katie’s fourth husband, as she was also previously married to Alex Reid.
