Kate Winslet keeps her Oscar award in the bathroom.
The 39-year-old actress scooped the trophy for her lead role in 'The Reader' in 2009 and, rather than lock it away in a glass cupboard, she likes to stash it in the restroom so people can pick it up and practice their acceptance speech.
Speaking to WSJ. Magazine, she said: "The whole point is for everybody to pick it up and go, 'I'd like to thank my son and my dad' -- and you can always tell when someone has, because they're in there a little bit longer after they flushed."
She added with a giggle: "They'll come out looking slightly pink-cheeked. It's hysterical."
Meanwhile, the 'Divergent' star, who has over 30 films under her belt, will turn 40 next week and is planning to celebrate reaching the milestone with a "festival of parties" at home.
She said previously: "The best part for me of turning 40 is all the parties I'm going to have because I'm going to have a festival of parties, doing lots of different things involving lots of friends, lots of children, lots of family stuff."
She added: "And hopefully there'll be lots of activity; being outside, doing a few daredevil things. The best part of turning 40 is doing all that I think."
Kate - who has children Mia, 14, with first husband Jim Threapleton, son Joe, 11, with second spouse Sam Mendes and 21-month-old son Bear with current husband Ned Rocknroll - feels very content about going into the next chapter of her life following the success of the last few years and already has a number of projects lined up for the future.
