Kate Hudson says there's "another side" to her mother Goldie Hawn.

The 37-year-old beauty has opened up about her relationship with the 'Overboard' star, 70, and insisted the actress was a strict mother as well as a "strong presence" in her life.
She said: "I think people get an idea of her spirit and she's just this wonderful person and she's a light and she's a great mom. She's a very strong presence and she was strict at times. She wasn't always like what her Instagram shows. There's another side to mom."
The 'Almost Famous' star added that her mother and step father Kurt Russell's parenting style was to ensure their kids - including Oliver Hudson, 39, and Wyatt Russell, 29 - were always "happy" and weren't pressured by their parents' success.
She added: "What makes mom the best is that she never put any expectations too high on the kids. She just wanted us to be doing the things that made us happy, as long as we were working hard, but we never had to live up to something."
Kate followed in her mother's footsteps into Hollywood and said her mother became her "confidante" the older she got and the pair are always there for one another.
She told People: "It's not really advice so much as she's my confidante and we talk about our life and her life, and we support each other now that I'm an adult. Where she's really wonderful is leading an authentic life and a truthful life."
