Kate Hudson doesn't ever feel like she deserves to win awards.
The 36-year-old actress won the Entrepreneur of the Year prize at Glamour magazine's Women of the Year ceremony on Tuesday (02.06.15) for co-founding fashion fitness line Fabletics, but has admitted that it's only been recently, after listening to "an amazing feminist" that she's starting to feel deserving of being recognised for her work.
Kate said: "I don't think you ever feel like you deserve [awards], but I listened to an amazing feminist who said a lot of women feel they don't deserve the positions they're in - and they should stop feeling that way.
"I try to look at it as an opportunity to represent something."
The 'How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days' star's brother Oliver Hudson is the face of FL2, her line of athletic wear for men, and also stars in 'Nashville', and Kate spoke about how their actress mother Goldie Hawn raised them with a lot of "freedom", which has helped their success.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Kate said: "There was freedom in the way we were raised. As you get older there's nobody you want around more than a person as accepting as your parent."
